Cauliflower
Plant indoors 1/4 inch deep about 6 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Put into Jiffy pots when plants are about 2 inches high. Or, sow seed directly outdoors about 1/4 inch deep, as soon as soil can be worked. Tie heads for best blanching. One ounce produces 1,500 plants.
